Our Mascot Loves Feet! | Reflexology with Michelle Bowman

August 20, 2023

Our Blue Running Man didn’t travel far this week when he visited Michelle Bowman, Sports Physio UK's Reflexologist.

Michelle has been working from our ever so popular Physiotherapy Clinic in Shaw for some years now. She is trained in Reflexology and Reiki and wow is she good or what! Our Mascot was lucky enough to have a treatment and she really did work wonders. He said it was the most relaxed he had felt in years and that a treatment with Michelle was well worth the money.Michelle uses her vast holistic knowledge to treat both body and mind, a concept we respect highly here at Sports Physio UK. After all, the evidence behind the mind and body link is too huge to ignore – you feel stressed and your body feels tense – it’s simple to understand.

So, what is reflexology?

Reflexology is based on the principle that reflex points on the soles, tops, and sides of the feet correspond to different areas of the body. In this way, the feet can be seen as a ‘map’ of the body. By applying specialised massage techniques to specific reflex points - using the thumbs, fingers, and knuckles – the aim of a reflexology treatment is to help restore balance to the body naturally, and improve the client’s general well-being.

How can Reflexology help you?

Reflexology can help to relieve anxiety and tension, encourage relaxation, improve mood and aid sleep, though some people use it to help them cope with more specific health challenges.Even if you just need a little bit of time out to relax then its worth booking in – click here to book. Our Blue Running Man said Michelle’s kind caring approach was wonderful and she made him feel at ease and completely relaxed. All the mascot work is tiring stuff and everybody needs some time out occasionally. He even challenged her to a Swoosh off - who do you think does it best?
