Milltown Race Series 2017
With the successful Milltown to Moors race series in Oldham now entering its 5 year, we are consequently seeing the races growing in popularity. Sports Physio UK have been popular partners with Milltown Races and Oldham Community Leisure (OCL) in recent years. Our team of highly skilled therapists provide the official Sports Massage service at the events each year. The series is notorious for its hills and hosts what seems like some of the region’s most challenging events.

Out on Location Team
Our specialist sports injury clinic, Sports Physio UK was established in 2012 and situated in Shaw, Oldham. Being a community based business, we make effort to support local clubs in our area and are now trusted by some of Oldham’s most prosperous athletes. In addition, we are now well known by the runners throughout local running clubs such as Royton Road Runners and Oldham & Royton Harriers.
We have become a familiar presence now at the Milltown to Moors races series, and the Sports Physio UK Out on Location team of therapists are always happy to help with both advice and pre/post race treatment.
Any donations our team receive at the events goes directly to our supported charity Team Ash. Team Ash (in memory of Ashley Livesey, aged 15, Oldham) is partnered with SADS and CRY – cardiac charities. We most of all want to ensure the money raised benefits our local community. Therefore the money raised buys defibrillators for local schools and sports clubs.
The more you train, and the older you get, the more likely you will need some regular maintenance to keep you performing injury free. Sports Massages can be of benefit to anyone, you don’t have to be an elite athlete.
If you are unfortunate enough to sustain an injury prior to an event, you should come and see us in clinic as soon as possible for treatment and injury advice. Visit our website for further details where you can book online or call the clinic to find our next available appointments.
Our advice would be to book as soon as you suspect an injury. The longer you have it, the longer it commonly takes us to resolve.
We are based on the main high street in Shaw, Oldham and offer appointments 6 days a week from 8am-9pm.
